Jojoba Oil (Buxus chinensis) is a contemporary carrier oil which adds a therapeutic intensity to your massage blends. The experts at Base Formula recommend Jojoba as a base massage oil for teenage skin and also for dry or mature skin and feet. Jojoba (pronounced 'ho-ho-ba') is a rich liquid wax extracted from the beans of a plant that grows in the deserts of South America. The oil has a heavy texture so for therapists who prefer a lighter feel we suggest blending it 50/50 with Almond or Grapeseed oil.
The chemical makeup of Jojoba Oil resembles the skins natural oil, 'sebum' so whilst its texture appears rich and heavy it is profoundly nurturing to the skin.
