A premium, unscented, foaming gel to gently cleanse and nurture the skin. Especially formulated to accept the addition of essential oils. This versatile base gel is ideal for producing your own shower gels, bubble bath and top to toe washes. It is particularly popular for blending your own therapeutic hand and foot baths for use prior to a manicure or pedicure. Essential oils, fragrance oils, botanical extracts, hydrolats and aloe vera can be added in to the base gel to produce a wide range of customised blends.

Professional Tips: The experts at Base Formula recommend that a maximum of 1% of any essential oil be added to a litre and a maximum of 2% of other liquid ingredients (e.g. aloe vera or hydrolats). Exceeding this amount may compromise the luxurious properties including viscosity and performance.

Base Formula Ingredients Safety Policy: This product is suitable for vegetarians and has not been tested on animals. This shower gel formula is generally preferred by those who want to make a product that bubbles well and has a super rich and viscous feel. It contains SLS an ingredient that has been used in toiletries since the 1930's to produce a richer foam. There is some debate in the industry regarding SLS and you can read more by clicking here. This product is excellent in both bath and shower. I made spearmint and orange shower gel and its a great start to the day. It is very different from commercial products that come out in a big gloop and fall straight off your hand onto the floor! You need much less and its easy to use.
