Acacia dealbata (known as Silver Wattle or Mimosa) is a species of Acacia. It is an attractive, small tree with a greyish brown bark, delicate foliage and ball-shaped, fragrant yellow flowers. The tree is native to south-eastern Australia and is now widely cultivated as an ornamental plant in warm temperate regions worldwide.
Mimosa Absolute Oil is solvent extracted from the tree’s flowers and twigs. The oil has a wonderful sweet floral scent, with woody undertones. It has calming, warming and relaxing properties and can be used in skincare to improve the skin’s condition and appearance. It is a good fixative and is often used as a base note in expensive perfumes.
