Bath Creamer Indulgences
You will need:-
600g sodium bicarbonate
300g citric acid
100g of natural talcum powder base
100g cocoa butter
50g Shea butter
12ml of essential oil (patchouli and orange OR geranium and lemongrass OR lime and tea tree)
1 drop of food colouring optional
Latex gloves
Dried botanicals or fruit tea leaves, desiccated coconut, coloured sugar, dried flower petals, cake sprinkles etc
A tea tray with a layer of baking parchment on it for drying
A non stick baking tray to lay out your botanicals
Method:-
In a bowl combine the dry ingredients thoroughly using sieve. In a separate bowl melt the butters over a bain-marie ( a slow cooker with water in it on hot will act as an effective bain-marie). Add the essential oils and the food colouring if you are using it. WEARING GLOVES add the liquid to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly (like mixing cookie dough). Mould into small balls (should be sized between a large marble and a golf ball) or press into chocolate moulds. If making balls lay your botanicals or cake sprinkles on a non stick baking tray and roll the ball in them.
If using moulds press the botanicals on to the top exposed surface. Place on the tea tray and leave in a warm place to set. Label 'DO NOT EAT' for safety. Use within 3 months.
