Base Formula's Organic Moisture Lotion is formulated with 97% plus pure, natural or organically certified ingredients. It is suitable for use as a hand and bodycare lotion and is ideal for dry and sensitive skin. It has been formulated with high quality ingredients to gently replenish moisture and oil lost by the skin and can be used therapeutically to soothe and relieve the discomfort caused by rough and dry skin. The lotion has been formulated to be used alone or blended with essential oils, fragrance oils, botanical extracts, hydrolats and aloe vera to produce a range of tailor made skincare products.

Professional Tip: The experts at Base Formula recommend that no more than 1% or 10ml of any essential oil and 2% (20ml) of liquid ingredients such as aloe vera or hydrolats be added to a Litre of our cosmetic bases. Exceeding this amount may destabilise the blend. Over time this may cause the bases to lose some of their luxurious properties including viscosity and silky texture.

Base Formula Recipes

Joint & Muscle Soothing Body Lotion
Add 0.5% Cinnamon essential oil, 0.5% Rosemary essential oil and 0.5% Aloe Vera and Seaweed Gel. To maintain organic status choose organic essential oils from the Base Formula range. IMPORTANT SAFTEY NOTE: Not to be used in pregnancy.

After Wax Lotion
For a soothing, antiseptic, lotion add 1.5% Tea Tree essential oil. To maintain organic status choose organic essential oils from the Base Formula range.

Reflexology Foot Lotion
Add 0.25% Tea Tree essential oil, 0.25% Lemongrass essential oil and 0.5% Geranium essential oil (balancing/female orientated) OR 0.5% Lavender essential oil (soothing/pain relieving). To maintain organic status choose organic essential oils from the Base Formula range.

Therapeutic Foot Lotion
Add 0.05% Tea Tree essential oil and 0.05% Spearmint essential oil and 2% Calendula infused oil. Blend well and shake before use. To maintain organic status choose organic essential oils from the Base Formula range.

Gentle Facial Lotion
Add 0.05% Chamomile essential oil and 0.5% Lavender essential oil and 2% Aloe Vera Juice. To maintain organic status choose organic essential oils from the Base Formula range.

Luxury Hand Lotion
Add 0.5% Geranium essential oil, 0.5% Bergamot essential oil, 0.5% Palmarosa essential oil and 0.5% Vitamin E oil. To maintain organic status choose organic essential oils from the Base Formula range.
