Clinical Case Studies
This month's case study focuses on 'you' the practitioner!! Anyone who becomes a busy practitioner has a real challenge on their hands - how to 'practice what you preach'.
Mrs J is a lively, positive and optimistic lady in her mid sixties. Having left home at 18 , she married and moved in with her childhood sweetheart soon afterwards. After being married for around 45 years (she has one son) her husband was diagnosed last year with bladder cancer and secondaries. She nursed him - primarily at home for a year, sleeping on the floor next to him towards the end, until he passed away peacefully at Christmas time.
Mrs S is a new client in her mid 70's, who presented with very acute sciatic pain which has been wearing her down for about 6 weeks. Her walking has been strongly affected, causing her to try and “save” the painful side, and she was exhausted as the pain was keeping her awake at night.
I had been successfully treating a client with a combination of aromatherapy, Reiki and TFT (Thought Field Therapy) and she was starting to feel so much better in herself that she asked if I thought I could help her 10 year old sister, Julie (fictional name).
