Shea Butter has a natural affinity with the skin which makes it the perfect ingredient for skin care products. Shea Butter is used in many cosmetic preparations such as lip balms and body butters and it can even be melted and added into carrier oil for a really rich massage blend. This exquisite, unrefined plant butter has a subtle scent that will not overpower any essential oils used and it has a very mild but intense moisturising effect on the skin.
The Shea Butter selected by Base Formula is hand harvested in Africa under fair trade conditions. Through visits and organic inspections we can ensure that farmers and harvesters have a quality of life that meets their basic needs, as well as providing job satisfaction, a safe working environment and an adequate return for their work. By developing long-term trading relationships, our producers are able to plan ahead with confidence and invest in transport, training and processing facilities.
Our Shea Butter is pressed to guarantee premium quality, certified organic and imported directly so that we can bring you the very best quality.
