Q: I'm interested in buying some premixed aromatherapy oils for using during massages. I am qualified in sports massage, relaxation and pregnacy massage and normally use base oil. If I use premixed oil is there anything I need to be a aware of in terms of contraindications with the essential oils?
Q: I have recently undergone treatment for cancer and the radiotherapy and chemotherapy have left me with signs of osteoporosis in my hands and in other parts of my body. I am taking medication from my GP to help but wondered if you could advise me on the most appropriate carrier oils to use for massage?
Dealing with cancer can be confusing, lonely and frightening, not just for the diagnosed but also for their partners, family and friends. Many people turn to aromatherapy because it lifts their mood, helps them cope and because it is something they can do to help themselves. Research evidence also suggests that aromatherapy can help with the anxiety, pain, depression and stress associated with cancer and its treatments.
